Delhi/Chandigarh – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs from Punjab while reacting to the allegations leveled against Rajouri Garden BJP MLA, Manjinder Singh Sirsa by former president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (DSGPC), Manjit Singh GK, of entering into a secret agreement with a private company to setting up club involving a deal of worth crores, stating Sirsa had been acting as a second fiddle to the Badals and that Akal Takht should take a serious view of the matter and initiate action those found guilty of the big deal.
In a joint statement issued from party headquarters on Wednesday, senior leaders of the party and MLAs, including Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Jai Krishan Rori, Manjit Singh Bilaspur and Kulwant Singh Pandori, said that it was not for the first time when such serious charges of impropriety had being slapped against the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) and DSGPC, both being run under the thumb of the Badals’.
The AAP leaders further said that the way Sirsa mediated to facilitate a private company, namely Lifestyle Swim and Gym, to set up a club on a sprawling 20000 square feet of prime land worth more than 20 crore belonging to Guru Harkrishan Public School, in the Basant Vihar area of Delhi, without keeping the committee in the loop.
The AAP legislators wondered that not even a single penny was shown as having been credited to the committee’s account. On the basis of the GK’s allegations, the club had been operating from the premises between 5 am and 10 pm for the past four years. GK had also named a woman, Daljit Kaur, who had been reportedly raising her voice against the on goings.
Accusing the former DSGPC chief of maintaining a stoic silence over such a serious issue, AAP MLAs said if the lady named by him had been raising her voice for the past four years, what he (GK) had been doing during his tenure as chief, which raised many a questions over his propriety, the leaders added.
The AAP leaders demanded that a time-bound, free and fair probe be ordered into the matter so as to bring those behind such a nefarious deal doling out the prime land to a private company for free and bringing those behind the unholy deal to justice, saying that it was a well thought-out of design of the Badal clan to demolish the august religious and other Sikh institutions in the country and undermining the authority of ‘Panth’, the AAP leaders said
It may be recalled, Guru Harkrishan Public School, nestling in the Basant Vihar area of Delhi, is run under the aegis of the DSGPC and the donations received through ‘Guru Di Golak’
