Five Indian tourist injured in a road accident on the outskirts of Pattaya Motorway 7 in the morning today. All of them have been admitted to hospital.
According to a report published by The Pattaya News the accident occurred at 6.45 AM this morning ( Thailand time ) . A passenger van crashed into the back of an eighteen wheeler cement truck on a highway just outside of Pattaya. The van was bringing five Indian tourists to Pattaya for a vacation, however their vacation ended before even arriving.
The report further says that the driver of the van, 28 year old Sorapong Inthong, was seriously injured. Additionally, all five Indian tourists were injured, four of them seriously. All five were brought to a local hospital.
The driver of the cement truck, 49 year old Wuttikorn Sorntham, was not injured. He stated that the van ran into the back of his truck at high speed and did not appear to break at all before the accident.
Police are investigating the incident.
