Punjab State Congress Committee Chief Mr. Sunil Jakhar today said that manifesto of Congress party for general elections has been prepared after the discussion with the representatives of all sections of the society and this manifesto is for overall development of our people and country.
Sunil Jakhar said that Congress party will be launch a unique scheme to eradicate poverty from country. Under that Scheme 20 percent of the country’s poorest households annually collect Rs 72 thousand financial assistance. He said, with the implementation of this scheme we will eliminate the poverty completely.
Talking about the farmers, Mr. Jakhar said that just as the state governments of Congress had waved off farmer’s loan in various states, the Congress government will give highest priority to protecting the interests of the farmers in all states and there will be separate farmer budget. Similarly, all the good health and education facilities will be provided to the weaker sections of society. He said that Congress party would remove the flaws of GST and implement it as industry and trader friendly tax system.
Mr. Jakhar said that Congress is known for fulfilling its promises. He said that the ‘truth’ about the election promises made by the Modi government in 2014 has been realized by the people of the country and the people of the country have fed up from this government. He said that with the formation of government of Congress in center, government will write a new saga of country’s development in which the benefits of development will be available to every Indian.
